for Veterans and their loved ones
You don't have to be enrolled in VA benefits or health care to connect.
VA education benefits help Veterans, service members, and their qualified family members with needs like paying college tuition, finding the right school or training program, and getting career counseling.
For the past 19 years, American Military Family (AMF) has been answering the call by providing a reprieve from their many stresses as we address their physical, mental, and emotional wounds, thereby providing them with the necessary services and resources they urgently need.
The NRD is a database of validated resources that supports recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration for service members, veterans, family members, and caregivers.
Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) began in 2003 as a small, grassroots effort providing simple care and comfort items to the hospital bedsides of the first wounded service members returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. As their post-service needs evolved, so have our programs and services. Today, through our direct programs in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care, along with our advocacy efforts, we improve the lives of millions of warriors and their families.
VA burial benefits can help service members, Veterans, and their family members plan and pay for a burial or memorial service in a VA national cemetery. Family members can also order memorial items to honor the service of a Veteran.
Access your VA records and documents online to more easily manage your benefits.
As the spouse or dependent child of a Veteran or service member, you may qualify for certain benefits, like health care, life insurance, or money to help pay for school or training. As the survivor of a Veteran or service member, you may qualify for added benefits, including help with burial costs and survivor compensation.
Since its establishment in 1925, The American Legion Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) program has awarded cash grants to minor children of current active duty or American Legion members. These grants help families in need meet the cost of shelter, food, utilities and health expenses, thereby keeping the child or children in a more stable environment.
We stand ready to provide a lifetime of support to veterans of all generations, their families and their survivors at no cost. How can we assist you?
The VFW offers a wide range of assistance programs aimed at helping veterans of every generation. Whether that means providing free, professional help filing or appealing a VA claim, offering scholarships for post-secondary education or providing emergency financial relief when times get tough, the VFW is there for America's veterans.
The Soldiers Fund provides support and lifetime aid for serving and veteran soldiers and their families. We are a grant making organization that works closely with both U.S. and British charities to deliver assistance and raise awareness of the needs and challenges our soldiers and their families face and raise funds to provide direct financial support. We assist the wounded, the elderly, the unemployed, the homeless, families, children, and those dealing with the psychological effects of war.
Our mission is to assist Servicemembers and disabled Veterans and their dependents, particularly severely wounded warriors and single-parent Servicemembers and Veterans, by helping access their benefits, improving communication and coordination with VA, and collaborating with the VA and other Veterans groups, health agencies, medical professional organizations, educational organizations, and the public in support of Veterans, their families, and military caregivers.
Our mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities - OUR communities - they have worked so hard to protect.
